Bio

Deborah L. Petersen received her undergraduate degree from Creighton University, BSBA in 1981. She graduated from Creighton School of Law in 1984. Deborah enjoys participating in various roles in the Council Bluffs community. She currently volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association on both the Local Advisory Board and the State Board, Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce and Network Council Bluffs. She is an active member of the Iowa State Bar Association, serving on the Board of Governors, the Real Estate Section Council, and the Title Standards Committee. She is also a member of the Iowa State Bar Association Foundation Board. She also serves on the Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Grievance Commission. Her past service includes ISBA Ways & Means Chair, ISBA Scope and Correlation Chair, and Real Estate Section Council Chair. She frequently presents at various seminars and volunteers throughout the Southwest Iowa community and is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. Deborah is also a certified Farm Transition Coordinator.

Bio

Tyler J. Grevengoed obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota in 2012 where he majored in Political Science and History and minored in Criminal Justice. He graduated from Creighton University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 2015. While in law school, he participated in Client Counseling, Moot Court, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Family Law Seminar, and the Public Interest Law Forum. He also clerked for a District Court Judge in Douglas County, Nebraska and later worked for a private law firm in Omaha, while completing his legal education. Prior to joining Petersen Law, Tyler served, from 2015 to 2019, as the Assistant Sioux County Attorney in Orange City, Iowa. In addition to numerous bench trials, contested hearings, and several jury trials, Tyler has experience that covers a wide span of practice areas including: estate planning, probate, guardianship and conservatorships, adoptions, and family law.
